Subtitle Gap Salvage Lab は、画面上の字幕、特に日本語字幕や放送版字幕と、映画音声のセリフとの間に生じる差異を「字幕ギャップ」として整理・研究する個人プロジェクトです。
このプロジェクトは、字幕や映像素材の再配布を目的とするものではありません。文書化され、リスニングチェック済みの事例を通じて、言語学習、翻訳比較、メディア研究に役立つ知見を整理することを目的としています。
Subtitle Gap Salvage Lab studies subtitle gaps—differences between on-screen subtitles (especially Japanese broadcast versions) and dialogue heard in film audio. Work supports language learning, translation comparison, and media study through documented, listen-checked examples—not commercial subtitle redistribution.
研究の焦点 / Research focus
- 字幕とセンターチャンネル音声のセリフにおける、タイミング・語句・話者推定のずれ
- ピッチ分析や分類器による機械支援の候補抽出と、最終段階での人間による聴取レビュー
- 話者候補を絞り込むための話者プロファイル類似性チェック（例：Picovoice Eagle）。この段階では性別ラベルを判定根拠として使用しません。
- 構造化された監査メモの作成。公開APIの提供や、著作権で保護された作品の自動書き換えは行いません。
- Timing, wording, and implied speaker mismatches between subtitles and center-channel dialogue
- Machine-assisted candidates (pitch, classifiers) with human listening review as the final gate
- Speaker profile similarity checks (e.g. Picovoice Eagle) for narrowing candidates—not gender labels from that step
- Structured audit notes; no public API and no automated rewriting of copyrighted releases

No affiliation with rights holders. Film titles and trademarks belong to their owners. This lab is not endorsed by or affiliated with any studio, broadcaster, or rights holder.
No redistribution of copyrighted audio or video. Samples used in research stay on local workstations for analysis; they are not sold, hosted for download, or republished.
